We’re delighted to announce that City Science has been successfully awarded positions on three lots of Scotland Excel’s Energy Advisory Framework, supporting Scottish local authorities in their journey toward net-zero energy planning.
Framework Overview
This comprehensive 48-month Scotland Excel framework, worth over £5 million in total value, will provide crucial technical support to all 32 Scottish local authorities and approximately 175 associate member organisations in developing their local energy strategies.
Our Role Across All Three Lots
Lot 1: Local Heat and Energy Efficiency Strategies We’ll be delivering technical analysis, coordination, and engagement activities to help authorities prepare and publish their Local Heat and Energy Efficiency Strategies in full compliance with LHEES Order and Guidance requirements.
Lot 2: Heat Network Zoning Our team will support local authorities in strategically reviewing and evaluating heat network potential, developing comprehensive heat network zones from strategic planning through to project identification and feasibility assessment.
Lot 3: Local Area Energy Plans We’ll provide technical analysis for Local Area Energy Plans and Energy Master planning initiatives, helping communities develop practical pathways to achieve net-zero planning objectives.
