We’re pleased to announce our continued collaboration with Thurrock Council on developing and maintaining their Multi-Modal Strategic Transport Model. The enhanced model will support subsequent forecasting and scenario testing for the emerging Local Plan and future business case development.
Our team are currently rebasing the strategic transport model to a 2023 Base year, this will provide an improved post-covid base model utilising new data and insights. An extensive data collection exercise has been completed, for both highways and public transport including travel surveys. The Thurrock Multi-Modal Strategic Transport model utilises industry software SATURN and EMME as well as a bespoke Demand Model. Our in-house tool Cadence continues to provide Thurrock Council with model inputs and results to explore with ease.
By analysing current and forecast transport network operations, the model will enable sustainable development, ensuring the transport network meets the needs of those who live, work and travel within Thurrock while maximising long-term benefits. We’re proud to contribute to a project that supports informed decision-making and sustainable progress.
