Mastering Supply Chain Decarbonisation: A Practical Guide

Scope 3 emissions typically account for a substantial portion of an organisation’s total carbon footprint, often ranging from 70% to 90%. Supply chain emissions, specifically the embedded carbon in purchased goods and services, are frequently the largest contributor, usually exceeding half of the total footprint.

As a result, any effective Net-Zero strategy must prioritise the reduction of supply chain emissions. However, the inherent challenge lies in the fact that Scope 3 emissions originate from assets outside of the reporting organisation’s direct control. This presents a complex task for procurement managers and stakeholders aiming to decarbonise their supply chains.

How can an organisation reduce emissions it doesn’t directly control?

In this webinar, on Thursday 27th February between 12:30pm – 13:30pm,  our Head of Carbon Accounting Zach Gaeddert will guide you through the end-to-end process of decarbonising your supply chain. We’ll delve into:

  • Initial calculation methodologies, ensuring accuracy and robust reporting.
  • Strategies for engaging your supply chain.
  • Implementing specific procurement practices to align your supply chain emissions with a net-zero future.

We look forward to having you attend the event!
